Our Detailed Grading System
How It Is Calculated:
Our grading system is designed to be transparent and fair, directly correlating students' percentage scores with their final grades. This conversion is meticulously calculated to ensure each grade accurately reflects students' efforts, achievements, and understanding of the course material.
What It Means:
This detailed grading system allows us to differentiate more finely between varying levels of student achievement. It enables educators to provide targeted feedback and support, helping students to identify strengths and areas for growth. Moreover, it assures that our grading process is aligned with high academic standards, encouraging students to strive for excellence.
We are committed to fostering a learning environment where every student can realize their potential, and this grading system is a cornerstone of our academic assessment strategy.
At ITEEE, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the hard work and achievements of our students through a detailed and nuanced grading system. This system allows us to more accurately reflect students' performance and mastery of course material. Below is an overview of how we convert percentage scores into grades, what these grades represent, and our approach to grading.
Grading Scale Conversion:
A+ (90% and above): Represents exceptional understanding and application of the course materials. Students demonstrating outstanding performance and mastery fall into this category.
A (85% to 89%): Indicates excellent grasp and high-level command of the subject matter, with minor areas for improvement.
A- (80% to 84%): Reflects a strong performance with a thorough understanding of the material, though slight gaps in knowledge might be present.
B+ (75% to 79%): Signifies a good understanding of the course content, with some notable strengths and some areas for improvement.
B (70% to 74%): Represents a solid performance and a satisfactory comprehension of the material.
B- (65% to 69%): Indicates a reasonable understanding of the subject, with several areas needing improvement.
C+ (60% to 64%): Shows a fair understanding, meeting the basic learning objectives with additional support needed.
C (55% to 59%): Denotes a moderate grasp of the course content, with significant room for improvement.
C- (50% to 54%): Reflects a minimal understanding, meeting only the most essential criteria.
Grades below 50% are considered insufficient to meet the course requirements, leading to grades D and E, which indicate areas requiring substantial improvement or failure to meet the course objectives.
